Whether you are a department, a small business or large organization, strategic planning is key to success. Strategic planning is a process that includes several activities or steps that create a formalized roadmap that describes where our organization is going over the next few years and how it is going to get there in order to meet business objectives.  Without it we run the risk of never reaching our intended destination.

Most strategic planning processes begin with a review of our past accomplishments and then set a course for future success.  At Evolve Again we believe in the thinking “What got you here, won’t get you there.” We prefer a strategic planning process that begins with an organization envisioning its desired future and working backwards to an action plan.  This approach disengages the predictable “we have always done it this way” perspective of the past and unleashes powerful “out of the box” thinking.

Leading Edge Visioning: Create vision, mission and values that will serve as guidepost for the strategic plan. 

Strategic Objectives: Define what need to be accomplished to realize the vision, working backwards from the future to the present.

Action Planning: Develop a one-year operational plan with monthly and quarterly targets designed to translate a lofty strategic vision into daily activities.

Execution Support: Facilitate regular review sessions to measure your team’s progress against plan and monitor the success of your work.
